The Kana to Romaji Translator & Romaji to Kana Translator is designed to be of use to:
In the top form, enter Kana (Hiragana and Katakana) into the left-hand text area then click on the Kana to Romaji button.
Kanji will remain untranslated. The results of the translation will appear in the right-hand text area.
You will note Katakana words will appear as uppercase (capital letters), whereas Hiragana will appear as lowercase. For example: "ニューヨークはにちよおびなのでえいがかんわたいへんこんでいました。" is translated to "NYU U YO O KU ha ni chi yo o bi na no de e i ga ka n wa ta i he n ko n de i ma shi ta 。". You should find the added spaces help with pronunciation.
In the bottom form, enter Romaji (Romanised Japanese) into the left-hand text area then click on the Romaji to Kana button.
The results of the translation will appear in the right-hand text area.
To translate Romaji to Hiragana enter Romaji text as lowercase. To translate Romaji to Katakana enter Romaji text as uppercase (capital letters). You can mix uppercase and lowecase Romaji words. For example "RONDON ni chikai uchi ni ikimasu." is translated to "ロンドンにちかいうちにいきます。".
